Occultism and Metaphysics

Reading Time: < 1 minute

This section is dedicated to a more bizarre, entertainment oriented series in our repertoire of articles – we are delving away from the traditional concepts that intelligence analysis is often applied to, such as military, politics, public policy, international affairs, business, policing and security, and going to do some mental exercises regarding applying intelligence analysis to an unusual field considered by many to be unscientific – the field of occultism and metaphysics.

Believe it or not, these fields contain extensive written material and research conducted on them since ancient times, leading many to believe there might be some truth to them, and many too afraid to dabble in them. Some major characters and leaders throughout history had an obsession with them. The field often explores the deepest and most sacred and controversial of human knowledge, that modern science frequently fails to answer or is continuously skeptical about.

It is frequently said, when a subject is controversial or hard to be proven yet extremely popular for public discourse, there can be much information, misinformation or disinformation on it, especially when there is no concise information about it. None of this is more true than when applied to fields such as religion, occultism and metaphysics, and topics such as death, existence, reincarnation, spirits, planes of existence, magic and so fourth.

It’s all fascinating, frequently taboo topics that undoubtedly opens up the imagination and brings a variety of feelings in the reader.
